Michelle Yeoh, the 60-year-old Oscar winner, has exchanged vows with her long-time partner Jean Todt in a wedding ceremony held in Switzerland. This significant event comes almost two decades after the French businessman proposed to her.

Announcing her marriage to 77-year-old Todt, the former head of Ferrari, Yeoh took to Instagram and expressed her gratitude for the love and support they have received over the years. She wrote, “19 years and YES!! we are married!! Thkq to our ‘families’ who love us for all these years. We love you and here’s to many more to come.”

The Malaysian actress shared images of the wedding, including one capturing the intimate moment of exchanging rings and another showing the newlyweds cuddling on a bed adorned with flower petals.

Additionally, a wedding message posted on Instagram by racing driver Felipe Massa, who attended the ceremony, offered a glimpse into the couple’s enduring love story that culminated in their recent nuptials.

Another image shows a printed message that reads, “We met in Shanghai on 4th June 2004. On 26th July 2004, J.T. proposed to marry M.Y. and she said YES! Today after 6,992 days on 27th July 2023 in Geneva surrounded by loving family and friends, we are so happy to celebrate this special moment together!”

Michelle Yeoh gained heightened celebrity status this year for her remarkable performance in “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” The movie, which tells the story of a Chinese immigrant and laundromat owner entangled in a multiverse struggle, clinched seven Oscars out of 11 nominations, including the coveted best picture award at the Academy Awards earlier this year.

Her now-husband, Todt, initially known for his role as a World Rally Championship co-driver, has also served as the former president of Formula 1’s governing body, the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile. He currently holds the esteemed position of the United Nations Secretary General’s special envoy for road safety.
